Druvis Cukurs

Hi, I’m Druvis. Lineset is me, a laptop and a test Jira site with more epics than any real team would want.

I’m a Software Engineer in Riga, Latvia. By day I build data-heavy interfaces for a company that makes software for ships. By evening and weekend, I build Jira apps. I studied Computer Science at the University of Latvia and have been shipping software since 2015, when it was embedded C on a factory floor, bit-banging GPIO and I²C to drive a thermal chamber. It has been the web ever since.

Why Jira apps

Every team I have worked on estimated its stories, then looked at an epic that said nothing about how much work was in it. Jira does not add child estimates up to their parents, and Atlassian has said it will not. I got tired of the spreadsheet. Sumline was the first app. The others answer questions I kept hearing from the same teams.

How this works, honestly

  • Every app is built on Forge and reads Jira as the person using it. Your data never leaves your Atlassian site, and I run no servers.
  • I answer every support ticket myself, from Riga, within one business day. That is EET, so a ticket from California gets its answer the next morning. Latvian public holidays are the exception.
  • Support is in English. Latvian works too. Russian and French I can manage, badly.
  • There is no sales team. Each app is free up to 10 users, and the price above that is on its Marketplace listing.

The company behind the apps is named on the privacy page. If you want to say hello, write to support@lineset.dev.
