The dashboard gadget

The Sumline gadget puts the same table on any dashboard.

Add the gadget

Add the Sumline gadget to any dashboard like any other gadget, and in its Edit view pick what it rolls up, as under Apps: spaces, a saved filter or a JQL query, which Jira checks before it is saved. Save stays off until you pick: “Pick at least one space to save”. Its headline sums it up, such as “8 parents · 62% (points) · 26% (9 of 34 done)”: the rows, then the Total line’s two percentages. The Total line comes first, an epic inside its initiative counted once, then the same rows as the table, in the same order, the first ten and then Show more, each with both progress bars and its warnings. “Open in Sumline” opens Sumline under Apps on the gadget’s spaces, filter or query, rolled up, where the figures are. Its rows open too; the lines under an opened row never count towards the ten.

The Sumline gadget on a Jira dashboard: a headline, “8 parents · 62% (points) · 61% (23 of 38 done)”, a Total line, then eight epics from two spaces, each with progress by estimate and by work item count, and “unestimated” warnings on two of them; the first epic opened to its stories, one of them opened to its subtask.
