Weeks back

The plan looks ahead. Weeks back adds the weeks behind you, so one page shows what was done next to what is planned.

Add the past weeks

The Weeks back filter has three choices: None, 2 weeks and 4 weeks. Pick one and that many columns appear before This week, one per week, oldest first. A past week’s header names its days, and its column is headed Logged, or Finished when the plan is in story points.

  • In hours, a past week’s cell is the hours the person logged that week, each worklog on its author’s own day, against the hours they could work that whole week, with the share as a lozenge. Hover it for “26h logged of 40h available”.
  • In story points, it is the points of the work items they finished that week, by the day they were resolved, against the points they do in a week.
  • A week in which nothing was logged or finished says so on hover.

This week

This week keeps its planned figure and lozenge, and a grey line under it says what has been logged so far, such as “12h logged so far”, or “finished so far” in points. The past is what happened; this week is both.

A person’s work items

Open a person’s row and each work item they logged time on, or finished, in the past weeks shows that amount in those columns, with its hover. A work item that was only logged, and has no remaining estimate now, is listed too.

What the past weeks leave out

The Total, Unscheduled, the counts of people over capacity and with time free, and the Over capacity filter stay the planned weeks: the Total’s hover says so. The past weeks sum in every kind of row, by person, role, epic or space. See Roles and rows.

Workline reads worklogs only when Weeks back is not None, and only the work items you may browse. They are kept with the plan for ten minutes, without names. A scope with more work items than Workline reads at once is refused, as it is for the plan.

The downloads carry the past weeks as columns headed “Logged, week of …” or “Finished, week of …”. See The plan.
