Where Logline appears, how it counts, and what it reads and stores.

  • Getting started

Where Logline appears in Jira Cloud once it is installed: the report under Apps › Logline, the same report in every space, and the issue panel.

  • Periods, days and time zones

Rolling and fixed periods, the day a worklog counts on, week start, and the hours formats.

  • Rows and columns

The row groupings and column splits a report can use, how totals add up, the extra columns, and the limits.

  • The Worklogs view

Detail mode: every worklog in a report as a row, with its comment, sorted and filtered.

  • Gaps and overspend

Mark working days with no time logged, and issues over their original estimate.

  • Saved and shared reports

Save a report, find it under Saved reports, and share it with people, Jira groups or everyone.

  • Exporting to CSV

Download CSV or Copy: the Worklogs view exactly as shown, the Timesheet as a flat list a spreadsheet can add up.

  • Settings

The site-wide settings a Jira admin can change: time zone rule, week start, working days, hours format and sharing.

  • Permissions and data

The three permissions Logline asks for, whose permissions it reads with, what it stores in Forge storage and for how long, and why nothing leaves your Atlassian site.

  • Coming from a Connect worklog report

How each view of a Connect worklog report maps to Logline, and how to move your saved reports.

Short answers are in the questions on the home page.
