Periods, days and time zones
Every report covers one period, and every worklog in it lands on one day. The rules are fixed and printed, so the totals can be checked against Jira.
Rolling periods
Today, Yesterday, This week, Last week, This month, Last month, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days and This quarter. Five of them are chips at the top of the report; the others are under More periods. They move with the calendar: a saved “Last month” report always shows the month before the current one.
Fixed periods
Custom range, under More periods: any start and end date, up to 400 days apart.
The day a worklog counts on
A worklog counts on the day it started, in the report’s time zone. By default that is the time zone of the person viewing (from their Jira profile); a report or the site settings can use each author’s own time zone instead. The rule in force is printed under every report: “A worklog counts on the day it started, in Europe/Riga.”
Weeks
Weeks start on Monday unless the site settings or the report say otherwise. A week column is headed “Week of” and its first day.
Hours
Hours are shown in one of three formats:
- decimal hours: 7.5h;
- hours and minutes: 7h 30m;
- days, hours and minutes: 1d 2h, where a day is the site’s working-day length (8 hours unless an admin changes it).
Totals are added up in seconds and rounded once, so they match Jira to the minute.
