Gaps and overspend

Gaps and Overspend are two switches above the timesheet. Both are off by default and one click on, and both are written out as text, not only colour: each mark says what it is, and a legend line under the report explains it.

Gaps

Gaps need a day split and people as rows. A working day (Monday to Friday unless an admin changes it) up to today on which a person logged nothing is marked with an amber 0h; pointing at it says “No time logged”. The legend reads “Amber 0h: a working day up to today with no time logged.”

To see people who logged nothing at all in the period, limit the report to people or groups: then everyone in them gets a row.

Overspend

Overspend adds the Work ratio column for issue rows and marks every issue whose time spent is over its original estimate with its share in red, such as 117%; pointing at it says “117% of estimate”. The legend reads “Red percentage: time spent over the original estimate.”
