Rows and columns

A report is a grid: the rows say what the hours are grouped by, the columns how they are split over the period. Choose Edit report to change either.

Rows

Person, issue, space, epic, issue type, status, priority, component, label, a select or radio custom field, or a Jira group. Up to two levels (Rows, then Then by), such as person then issue, or epic then person. Collapse and Expand fold a row’s children away and back.

A worklog under two or more rows (two labels, a person in two groups) counts in each of those rows, but once in every total. The report says so when it happens.

Columns

Total only, or split by Day (a period of 62 days or less), Week or Month. Every row and column has a total, plus a grand total.

Extra columns

For issue rows: Original estimate, Remaining, Time spent (all time), as Jira shows it, and Work ratio.

Show worklogs

Show worklogs on a bottom-level row lists that row’s worklogs under it: date, author, hours and the comment.

Limits

A report reads at most 10,000 issues and 50,000 worklogs. Over that, Logline says so and asks for a shorter period, fewer spaces or fewer people; it never shows a partial total. A big report is read in steps, with a progress bar, each step well inside Forge’s time limit for one call.
